Phlebectomy North-East Philly, Bucks County & Hamilton NJ.

What is microphlebectomy?

Microphlebectomy is the removal of medium- to large-sized varicose veins from the body. The removal only requires a very small incision about ⅛ of an inch thick, which does not require a suture to close. The result is reduced side effects of the diseased vein and smoother skin. After the procedure, you should be able to return home right away. You may experience some swelling and bruising from the procedure which should go away in a few days to a week.

How does a microphlebectomy treatment work?

Microphlebectomy is minimally invasive. No prolonged downtime is usually needed, and pain relief is often immediate.

What should I expect during a microphlebectomy treatment?

Dr. Hadaya will administer a numbing agent so that you remain comfortable. Next, he will make a small incision and carefully remove the vein from the affected leg. The procedure itself takes about 30 to 60 minutes.
